He had a beard and otherwise was clean shaven, wearing nothing but a half and half scarf (Arbroath/Yeovil). Paired up with a goat at the end— Dave in Tingley (@DavenTingley) September 5, 2018 There are a lot of things that split public opinion – Marmite, pineapple on pizza, Jose Mourinho…But it appears there is one thing people can’t agree on more than any other: Football fans who support more than one team.talkSPORT.com recently published a story about a survey which ‘found’ that nearly half of 16-24-year-old’s in the UK support at least TWO clubs.Incredibly, the study – by COPA90 – also claimed 27% of the same age bracket support THREE OR MORE teams. And it sparked an amazing reaction from football lovers across the country. Some were outraged by the concept of supporting any team other than your local. But many others admitted to following more than one side and gave their own personal reasons why… and were duly slammed by their peers!Even talkSPORT presenters were arguing over the contentious subject… 5 🗣️ @MaxRushden: “I support Cambridge AND Spurs”🗣️ @Sjopinion10: “That smacks me as lily-livered fashionability.”Watch as Max Rushden and Simon Jordan debate the idea of supporting TWO football teams. What do you make of people who support two football clubs? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/CIETJ3iLjq— talkSPORT (@talkSPORT) September 6, 2018But what do you think – is it acceptable to back more than one club or just plain wrong?See how football fans reacted to the story below…center_img 5 Manchester United legend Eric Cantona famously once said: “You can change your wife, your politics, your religion but never, never can you change your favourite football team.”Apparently young football fans didn’t get the memo… 5last_img read more
