Umesh Yadav’s maiden 10-wicket haul helps India sweep Test series vs West Indies

first_imgPaceman Umesh Yadav bagged his first-ever 10-wicket haul in a match to help India sweep the two-match Test series against West Indies in Hyderabad on Sunday.This was also India’s first-ever 10-wicket victory over West Indies in Tests.Umesh, who got his career-best 6/88 in the first innings, ended with 4/45 in the second to help India bowl Windies out for a paltry 127 on Day 3 of the Hyderabad Test.Sunil Ambris top-scored for the tourists with 38 while spinners Ravindra Jadeja 3/12 and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/24) shared five wickets between themselves.Chasing 72 to sweep the two-match series, openers Prithvi Shaw (33 not out) and KL Rahul (33 not out) looked positive in their approach and needed only 16.1 overs to take India home at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.Hyderabad Test: Day 3 Highlights | ScorecardRahul, who has struggled to find his rhythm right of late, got off the mark with a huge six over long off off Jomel Warrican in the second over of India’s chase.Shaw took a couple of blows to his body off Jason Holder.
