Gardai investigating up to seven burglaries in past week in Inishowen

first_imgGardai in Inishowen are investigating up to seven break-ins which have occurred in the past week.Officers cannot yet link the burglaries but are carrying out a full investigation into all the raids.Two further raids took place overnight along the border. In the first thieves made off with a safe containing an undisclosed sum of money from Reddins Bus Depot in Muff.There was also an attempt made to break into a fruit and vegetable business at Bridgend.THere were also attempted break-ins to two ESB sub0staitons in recent days.Garda Inspector David Murphy told Donegal Daily that he is keeping an open-mind on the break-ins but there is no evidence yet to suggest they are all connected. He appealed to the public to remain vigilant and to try to memorise as much information as possible if they notice people or cars acting suspiciously.“Our investigations are continuing into these crimes but at the moment we simply cannot say if they are connected or not.“I would appeal to the public to remain vigilant and to come forward with any information they have.“Going forward I would ask the public to try to remember colours, makes and registrations of vehicles if they think they are acting suspiciously.“These are important details which can really assist us in our operations and investigations,” he said.
