Soy Growers Brief Congressional Staff on Soybeans Sustainability

first_imgAmerican Soybean Association (ASA) Chairman and Delaware farmer Richard Wilkins traveled to Washington this week to brief congressional staff on the basics of soybean production and how sustainability factors in to the decisions that soybean farmers make at each stage in the production process. Additionally, Wilkins spoke to the essential nature of biotechnology and how a more streamlined approvals process can help farmers be more sustainable. Both House and Senate staff brought thoughtful and informed questions, and many stayed after to speak with Wilkins about his operation, soybeans and sustainability. The briefings were funded by the United Soybean Board (USB).last_img
