Amritanshu Mukherjee New DelhiFebruary 6, 2019UPDATED: February 7, 2019 08:19 IST HIGHLIGHTSRumours suggest Moto will use a 48-megapixel camera for the rear. The display is rumoured to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.Moto Z4 Play is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. For the last few years, Motorola has been struggling in the premium smartphone segment under Rs 30,000. Last year’s Moto X4 couldn’t exactly make a name for itself in the premium smartphone space, despite sporting a premium glass body and fairly powerful specifications. Since this premium segment is plainly dominated by the likes of Vivo and Oppo throwing in modern features, Motorola is going ahead with an all-new smartphone in this space – the Moto Z4 Play. There has been a sea of leaks and rumours in the recent times, and now 91Mobiles comes up with new information about the device. The Z4 Play has leaked in photos and some key specifications regarding the device have been out in the air now. The Moto Z4 is a stylish smartphone to behold from the leaked renders of the device. From the photos, the Z4 Play vastly resembles the previous Moto Z series smartphones, especially from the rear. There’s a premium glass rear panel with magnetic Pogo pins to strap-on the Moto Mods. There seems to be a single rear camera module at the back for now, but reports suggest that Moto will use a 48-megapixel camera for the rear. Unlike the current crop of smartphones with 48-megapixel cameras from Samsung or Sony, the Moto Z4 Play is expected to use the Q Technology S5KGM1SP sensor. On the front, the phone sheds bezels massively when compared to the Z2 Play. There’s a waterdrop notched display with extremely thin bezels all around. The notch is expected to house a 16-megapixel front camera. The display is rumoured to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor, which suggests that Motorola could opt for a Super AMOLED panel.advertisementUnderneath, the Moto Z4 Play is expected to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage. The device will be powered by a 3600mAh battery, which should make it last for at least a day. As usual with all Motorola phones, the Z4 Play will run on a stock Android 9 Pie interface out-of-the-box.While there’s no hinting of the prices, the Moto Z series has always been aimed at premium smartphone seekers. With all the expected specifications, Motorola could price it against the likes of OnePlus 6T and Honor View 20.ALSO READ | Moto G7, G7 Play, G7 Power and G7 Plus design leaked, some get waterdrop notchALSO READ | Moto G6 review: Best looking phone under Rs 15,000ALSO READ | Moto G7 Plus full specs spotted on TENAA ahead of February 7 launchGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story? Rabat – Award-winning French director Michel Ocelot is working on an animated film featuring Morocco and Turkey, reported UK-based news outlet Middle East Online (MEO) on Sunday.“The starting point is Morocco … in the 18th century,” Ocelot told Middle East Online at the Meknes International Festival of Animated Cinema (FICAM) taking place from March 22 to 27.The film “depicts… a female doctor who has been listening to tales orated by female storytellers in the palaces where she has been working,” he explained. Ocelot said that cinema can be a powerful inspiration for good or bad.“The guy who committed the massacre in New Zealand did a cinema. The cult of weapons is also a cinema art. I’m sure that when we make a violent movie, it inspires people to kill,” said Ocelot.“People, however, become noble” when they watch “noble” movies, he added.Ocelot said that animated cinema in Morocco needs some work to make it appeal to a global audience while preserving local taste.“The danger is to try to sell Moroccan animated cinema abroad and lose the identity. You have to be both Moroccan and international,” he said.Ocelot is a self-taught director who kick-started his career in animation movies with the 1998 animation film “Kirikou and the Sorceress.”Last month, Michel Ocelot won the Cesar for Best Animated Film for his film “Dilili in Paris” at the 44th Cesar Award ceremony. Ocelot will present the film at FICAM 2019.“Dilili in Paris” shows the exploitation and enslavement of women at the turn of the 20th century Belle Epoque. “The harm men do to women is worse than wars. We should talk about this taboo,” Ocelot said.FICAM was founded in 2001 and has been under the patronage of King Mohammed VI since 2018. The Aicha Foundation is responsible for its production and the French Institute of Meknes provides artistic direction.
