Tony Romo: 49ers, Raiders could be really good — or not

first_imgSTATELINE, Nev. – Tony Romo, known for remarkable prescience as CBS’ lead NFL analyst, is baffled at what to expect from the 49ers and Raiders this season.“Both of those teams, they could be really good, or, the league is very tough, from week to week, game to game,” Romo said at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, where he’ll defend his championship this weekend.Tony Romo chips on to the 12th hole green at Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course during the …last_img

Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, January 30, 2019

first_imgShare Facebook Twitter Google + LinkedIn Pinterest Partly sunny and very cold here the next couple of days. This morning should be the peak of the cold air, but we stay exceptionally cold through tomorrow. There still can be some lake snows in north central and northeast Ohio, so long as north winds stay strong, but the chances of that diminish with time. We do see clouds develop on Friday as temps start to moderate, and those clouds now look like they can bring some snow to the northern half to NW quarter of the state…perhaps a coating to an inch with coverage at 50%.Yep…you are seeing correctly. Some parts of the state may not get above zero today….but 50s are on the way next Monday!!!!We start to warm up Saturday and will be well above normal for temps on Sunday and Monday. Temps Sunday and Monday can be 20 degrees above normal or more. The map at right shows temps Monday afternoon. We are pushing rain back a little more on Sunday now, meaning we should see a mostly dry weekend. Rain starts Sunday night and goes through Monday. Rain totals end up in the .25”-.5” range, which is a bit smaller than our thoughts yesterday. However, we make that up with more moisture coming Tuesday night and Wednesday. After a brief break in moisture Tuesday morning and midday, rain is back Tuesday night and goes through early Wednesday morning. Temps will be cooler than this weekend for sure, but should still be mild enough for all rain from this event, with totals of .25”-.75” and 70% coverage. We turn significantly colder Wednesday night.Snow moves over south west and southern Ohio for Thursday and may bring a coating to a couple of inches, while the rest of the state just stays cold and dry. Friday flips that script, with lake effect snows likely in the north central and northeast parts of the state and nothing in the south. Next Friday will be very windy and much, much colder. The extended period remains consistent with snows for the 10th and 11th, and we continue to think there is good potential for moderate to heavy snow there. Then, at the end of the 16 period, we are looking at another system for around Valentine’s day that can also bring snow. After the warm up this weekend and early next week, we are back to below normal temps for the remainder of the forecast window.last_img read more

How to Use The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need

first_imgI just released the second video in the launch of my new book, The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need. If you want to know what’s inside the book, this video is a quick walk through of the 9 attributes and the 8 skills. You can watch it on the preorder page at preorder.theonlysalesguide.com.If I could go back and change any part of this book, the one thing I would add would be a user’s guide for salespeople, and one for sales managers. To succeed in sales today, you need all the attributes and skills included in The Only Sales Guide. If you have a deficiency in any of the attributes or skills, that deficiency can cause your problems. Like initiative. Sales isn’t a passive endeavor where you can afford to be reactive and do well. Instead, you have to drive the action. If You SellIf you are responsible for selling, you should read the book from cover to cover, making notes on the attributes and skills that you believe you need to improve. Then you should go back over one or two chapters, spending a couple week working specifically on developing in those areas. Maybe you aren’t exercising the self-discipline you need in order to succeed at a higher level. Or perhaps you need to work on your skills when it comes to asking for and obtaining commitments (Closing is Chapter 11).You are responsible for your own growth and development. This book will help you turn in your best performance. If You Manage a Sales TeamIf you manage a sales team, there are couple ways you should use the book.First, you can read the book together, focusing on one attribute or skill each week, and doing the exercises at the end of each chapter and sharing your experiences. Including the two chapters that cap off each section of the book, that is 19 weeks of development (more than most salespeople ever receive in the way of training and development). The videos and the workbooks will make this easy.Second, you can use the book to coach each individual on your team in areas you believe they need to improve. It’s sometimes easier for us to see where and why someone else is struggling than it is to see these same things in ourselves. No book provides this kind of a lens on performance, and using it to create a coaching and individual development plan will help you help the individuals on your team. You should use the book to help each person on your team grow, develop, and turn in the best performance they are capable of producing. As you watch video 2 at preorder.theonlysalesguide.com, note with attributes or skills you might need to shore up. If you are leader, think about where the individuals on your team need help.I wrote this book so that you would have what you need to take action and improve your own skills as a individual contributor, or to help your team if you are a sales manager or sales leaders. It’s not enough to know what you need to do; what’s important is that you do it. Get the Free eBook! Learn how to sell without a sales manager. Download my free eBook! You need to make sales.
